CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas, who is in Armenia, met with Security Council secretary Armen Grigoryan.

They discussed the situation in the region and further possible measures of the CSTO in this situation.

The CSTO mission has arrived in Armenia in accordance with the decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council's special session on September 13.

This mission is tasked with assessing the current situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, preparing a detailed report on the situation in the region to the leaders of the CSTO member countries, and developing proposals for reducing tension in some parts of the border.

Also, this CSTO mission will study and monitor the current situation at Armenia’s border regions with Azerbaijan, as well as hold meetings with the highest political and military leadership of Armenia.
