Greek politician Markos Bolaris has expressed his support to Armenia and the Armenian people, and condemned Azerbaijan's recent military aggression against Armenia.

"Armenians are a brotherly nation [to Greeks], a nation with which we have coexisted for centuries—both in favorable conditions and during ‘storms.’

I consider it my duty to support this nation in every difficult moment—not because it needs my humble support, but because this support is louder and stronger when Armenia and Armenians are subjected to unjust, aggressive and belligerent provocations by neighboring Azerbaijan, with the help and support of Turkey—just like before.

The message of Greece, the European Union, and the United States to Azerbaijanis should be clear: Do not try to take advantage of the international energy situation! It's temporary! Respect international treaties and recognized borders.

Respect the neighboring peoples, respect Armenia," reads, in particular, Bolaris' post, which has been published on the Facebook page of the Embassy of Armenian in Greece.
