The delegation led by Mark Demesmaeker, Head of the Friendship Group Belgium-Armenia of Parliament of the Kingdom of Belgium, accompanied by A. Rustamyan, head of the Armenian-Belgian NA Friendship Group, visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.

"We are trying to criminalize or turn the denial of the genocide into a crime. I should mention that Belgium is one of the first countries which fully recognized the Armenian Genocide, and we are trying to protect it on all possible platforms as much as possible. I should also mention that we are extremely concerned about the situation that happened both in previous years and last week, because, as we see, Azerbaijan is once again carrying out aggressive actions against the sovereign territory of Armenia,” Mark Demesmaeker , the Head of the Friendship Group Belgium-Armenia of Parliament of the Kingdom of Belgium, noted.

The members of the delegation laid flowers at the Eternal Flame of the victims of the Armenian Genocide and paid tribute to the memory of the holy martyrs with silence. At the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute the guests got acquainted with the true facts of the crime.
