France will continue to help Ukraine with arms and training for the Ukrainian military, the republic's defense minister, Sebastien Lecornieu, said Thursday.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said at a meeting with French Ambassador to Russia Pierre Levy that pumping Western weapons into Ukraine was unacceptable.
In early September, it was reported that France would supply Ukraine with 155 mm TRF1 self-propelled guns, which are no longer used by the French army. Earlier Paris had already handed Ukraine 18 self-propelled artillery units CAESAR of 155 millimeters caliber, taking them from the Army's reserve. This accounted for a quarter of the total number of such units.
