A delegation led by Artsakh Foreign Minister David Babayan met with U.S. House of Representatives member Judy Chu.

The Artsakh Foreign Ministry press service informed NEWS.am that the delegation called on the U.S. to stop military aid to Azerbaijan.

The congresswoman, who visited Artsakh in 2019, noted at the event titled "Artsakh Independence Capitol Greeting," that before the 2020 war, Armenians in Artsakh were flourishing.

Because of the aforementioned visit, the congresswoman was banned from entering Azerbaijan, which she considered "an honor."

The parliamentarian said that pushes her to be more active for the benefit of the peaceful people of Artsakh and Armenia.

She described the recent attacks on Armenia as another attack on the ideas of self-determination, democracy and freedom.

Judy Chu added that they must resist this. American aid to Azerbaijan must stop, and sanctions must be imposed if violence continues.
