After the start of partial mobilization in Russia, the demand for cash increased sharply - from September 21 to October 6, citizens withdrew 754.1 billion rubles from ATMs. This was reported by Izvestia, citing data from the Central Bank.

On the second day after the announcement of partial mobilization, Russians withdrew 132.1 billion rubles. The highest demand was recorded on September 30 - then Russians withdrew 144.8 billion rubles from banks. At the end of last week, demand stabilized and dropped to 14.4-35.5 billion rubles. Prior to September 22, the Bank of Russia recorded an outflow of 8.1 to 40.8 billion rubles.

The amount of funds, which the Russians withdrew on September 21, was almost four times less than at the end of February - early March, when about 2.9 trillion rubles was withdrawn. The demand went down after March 5.
