France shows full solidarity with Armenia under the conditions of violations of its territorial integrity. This was announced by French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna, speaking at the French National Assembly.

She noted that after the September 13 military attack by Azerbaijan on Armenia, France made efforts to stabilize the situation, demanding the Azerbaijani armed forces to return to their initial positions, and supported the negotiations between the two countries.

According to her, an agreement has been reached to deploy a two-month civilian mission of the European Union along Armenia’s border with Azerbaijan by the end of the month.

"The purpose of this mission is to stabilize the situation and start a process between the parties. In particular, we hope that the mission will be able to contribute to the upcoming border delimitation process," said Colonna. "At the same time, we are working on the setting up of an OSCE fact-finding mission to get an objective picture of the post-conflict situation and needs, particularly of humanitarian needs."

"Armenia can count on France's support," assured the French FM.
