The meetings of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member countries started in the Kazakh capital Astana, TASS reported.

The first meeting is taking place in a narrow circle, where only the leaders participate. Later, an extended meeting, with the participation of delegations, will take place.

Integration interaction within the CIS and security issues are on the agenda of the meetings.

To note, Armenia also is a member in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
