YEREVAN. - Chief of Patrol and Inspection Service of Armenia’s road police Norik Sargsyan was not questioned over the criminal case against the Chief of road police Margar Ohanyan, Sargsyan told a press conference on Wednesday.
“We are servicemen and are carrying out the orders. It is police leadership to decide who will be appointed to the post,” said Sargsyan in response to journalists’ remark that rumors say he will replace Margar Ohanyan.
As reported earlier chief of road police Margar Ohanyan was arrested on Tuesday within the framework of criminal case filed by special investigation service. Armenian media outlets said seven high rank police officials were interrogated in connection with the criminal case.
