YEREVAN. – Swiss National Council MPs Stefan Muller-Altermatt and Michel Matter on Saturday visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan.
"We must never forget this genocide, neither should the Swiss," they said at the memorial, reported the press service of the National Assembly of Armenia.
The Swiss parliamentarians laid flowers at the Eternal Flame commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide, and honored the memory of these Holy Martyrs with silence and a bow.
Also, they toured the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, and made a note in its memorial book.
These Swiss MPs are on a four-day working visit to Armenia.
They plan to visit as well the communities of Armenia that were shelled recently by the Azerbaijani armed forces.
