YEREVAN. – Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan of Armenia received French Ambassador Anne Louyot, the Armenian government informs.

First, Matevosyan highly appreciated the dynamics of Armenia-France bilateral relations, and emphasized the importance of French investments in Armenia and intensification of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Among a number of matters of mutual interest, Ambassador Louyot reflected on the avenues for the further strengthening of Armenian-French interregional cooperation. In this context, she stressed the planned collaboration between the Syunik Province of Armenia and the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region of France.

Touching upon the large-scale military aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against the sovereign territory of Armenia on September 13, Deputy PM Matevosyan lauded the targeted and impartial statements by France, and greatly emphasized France's efforts, including as a co-chair country of the OSCE Minsk Group, aimed at establishing peace in the region.
