YEREVAN. - Chief of Armenia’s road police Margar Ohanyan was dismissed by the order of Armenia’s State Police Service Chief Alik Sargsyan, trusted sources told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Armenian Special Investigative Service on Tuesday arrested the chief of road police suspected of abuse of power and misappropriation.
Earlier road police Colonel Stepan Karakhanyan was arrested. He was prosecuted for appropriation of petrol in the amount of AMD 57 million. Later he was released on bail.
Arthur Margaryan will be appointed Armenia’s new chief of road police.
