The Azerbaijanis, using weapons of varying caliber and range, damaged the infrastructure of the city of Jermuk. Sanatoriums, guest houses and roads were damaged. In order to exert a psychological impact on the local population, the enemy also hit the Ketchut cemetery. The enemy used cluster bombs which were banned by international conventions.
Another Swiss MP, Michel Matter, noted that a resolution was adopted in Geneva condemning the September aggression of Azerbaijan.
This concerns not only Switzerland, but all of Europe, because they both have the same values: democracy, human rights and international law, the parliamentarian stressed.
According to First Deputy Head of Jermuk Community Vardan Sargsyan, the urban landscape and forests were particularly affected, adding that despite the situation, it was possible to carry out restoration works.
The Swiss MPs underscored the importance of the fact that they have seen everything with their own eyes and will tell their colleagues about it.
