Against the background of tougher sanctions against Russia, European banks have stopped accepting SWIFT-transfers from Russian banks. This was reported to Izvestia by financial institutions.

S-BANK began to block such operations from the beginning of the special operation, and LHV Pank conducted the last payment from Russia at the end of August. Russians began to complain en masse about the inability to send SWIFT-transfers to these European banks.

Generally, funds were returned back to the sender's account within two to 26 days and minus a commission, but sometimes the money "disappeared," the publication notes.
