The Decree of the President of the Republic of Artsakh of September 12, 2022 established the Public Council, approved the charter of the Council and appointed 8 members who organized the process of electing the remaining 17 members of this collegial body.

Out of 27 citizens who had applied for the membership in the Public Council the remaining members of the Council were elected on October 12 by voting.

On 17 October President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan signed a decree appointing Armen Gevorgyan Chairman of the Public Council.

А. Gevorgyan was the only candidate for the position of the Chairman of the Public Council. His candidacy was approved by the members of the Public Council and submitted to the President of the Republic of Artsakh.
