Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation headed by Norwegian Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt, the press service of the Norwegian Government informed NEWS.am.

Nikol Pashinyan stressed the importance of Huitfeldt's visit to Armenia and noted that it will give a new impetus to the development and expansion of the Armenian-Norwegian political, economic, and humanitarian relations. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of the clear and targeted position of the Norwegian side regarding the Azerbaijani aggression against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. Pashinyan said that the EU observation mission is already in Armenia. The issue of sending OSCE observation mission to Armenia is also being discussed.

Pashinyan presented in detail the Armenian side's positions on liquidating the consequences of Azerbaijani aggression, settling the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, protecting the rights and ensuring the security of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians.

In her turn, Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed her country's support to protect Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the agenda of reforms for strengthening democracy in Armenia.

Anniken Huitfeldt expressed hope that the Armenian-Norwegian relations will register new progress and will be further strengthened. The interlocutors also exchanged views on the regional and international agenda issues.
