Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree introducing martial law in four new regions of the country. The relevant document has been published.

The regions in question are the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, which have been incorporated into Russia since September 30, TASS reported.

According to the legislation, the Russian president must immediately inform the Federation Council and the State Duma of the imposition of martial law.

Martial law in the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions has been imposed since 20 October.
