Iran will use all its capabilities and potential to end the war in Ukraine, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said in a conversation with his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda, Mehr reports.

Deputy presidential office Mohammad Jamshidi wrote in a Twitter post on Wednesday that, "While Europe is showing support for the unrest in Iran, today Mr. Duda, the Polish president, called the president to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and ending the war in Europe," Deputy presidential office Mohammad Jamshidi wrote on Twitter.  According to him, Raisi "assured Duda that the Islamic Republic of Iran will use all its capabilities and capacities to end the war."

Raisi dismissed the accusations levelled against Iran by Western countries over the conflict in Ukraine, stressing that "Iran's position has been to confront war and conflict since the beginning of the war in Europe," He expressed Iran's willingness to use all its means to play a role in ending the war in Europe through diplomacy.

"In the present circumstances, both Tehran and Warsaw should seek to enhance economic and trade relations by providing appropriate solutions," Raisi said.

For his part, the Polish president recalled Iran's hospitality to Polish immigrants during World War II and thanked Iran for it.

Andrzej Duda said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always sought to expand and strengthen peace and stability in the world and called for greater cooperation between the two countries in both the bilateral and international arenas.
