The chairman of the National Assembly Commission on Foreign Relations Eduard Aghajanyan in an interview with the Public Television of Armenia noted and stated once again that, unfortunately, as a result of the 44-day war, Armenia was deprived of the opportunity to defend the rights of the people of Artsakh by military means. 

"The clause about Russian peacekeepers and their presence in Artsakh in the agreement of November 9 is connected with this, otherwise they would not be in Artsakh. Armenia has no military presence in Artsakh. We must have a clear and realistic assessment of the resources available on the table: the matter is about the political and diplomatic resources and the maximal involvement of the international community," Aghajanyan said.

According to him, he also mentioned that at the meeting with American congressmen and underlined that if international mechanisms do not work in Artsakh, ethnic cleansings are inevitable and, in the best case, mass emigration will occur.

According to Aghajanian, Turkey is not trying to mislead Armenia in its goals, they are very straightforward in their goals, stating very clearly that Turkey is coordinating its with Armenia with Azerbaijan.

"This is problematic for the possible development of Armenian-Turkish relations. Regarding Armenian-Turkish and Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, Armenia should make efforts to ensure maximum representation of the international community. The presence of an influential political mediator is very important. It is very important for Armenia to arm itself, to restore the balance of regional forces, but it is a long process. At this point we need political solutions and mediators with great political influence, who will guarantee the agreements," Aghajanian said.
