A meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council began in Yerevan on Thrusday.
Today's meeting will be held in a narrow composition, and a meeting in a broad composition will be held on Friday. Delegations from the governments of Armenia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan will participate in the session.
Heads of Governments of the Eurasian Economic Union will discuss sources and mechanisms of financing industrial cooperation projects within the EEU, elimination of barriers on the internal market of the Union, development of integrated information system.
The Eurasian Economic Commission will inform members of the Intergovernmental Council on progress in preparing international treaties on formation of common gas, oil and oil products markets, implementation of the Main areas of industrial cooperation in the EEU, possibilities for the EEU countries to participate in the functioning of the Russian industrial zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
The Intergovernmental Council will consider the state of mutual trade of EEU countries in 2021, joint import substitution projects carried out by EEU states, the first package of measures within the framework of the climate agenda, issues of enrollment and distribution of import customs duties between the budgets of EEU member states in 2021.
In order to develop electronic trade in warehouse certificates for agricultural products in the Union, the Intergovernmental Council is planning to sign an agreement on the rules for the issuance, circulation and redemption of such certificates within the EAEU.
