Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan once again raised the issue of the so-called "Zangezur corridor."

"Fears and anxieties in some circles about the Zangezur corridor, which will connect Nakhchivan with the western regions of Azerbaijan, in my opinion, are misplaced. After all these steps taken in Karabakh, there is no need for fear," Erdogan said during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The Turkish leader noted that Azerbaijan, through its actions, "contributes to peace, security and stability in the region and will provide trade and investment opportunities for all countries along the route of the Middle East-West Corridor across the Caspian Sea," Azerbaijani media quoted Erdogan as saying.
