There are statements giving reason to think that Turkey is more interested in opening an extraterritorial corridor through the territory of Armenia than Azerbaijan, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said at a briefing on Tursday.

He said the special envoys of Armenia and Turkey held four meetings during which they held substantive talks on establishing diplomatic relations and opening of borders that were closed by Turkey.

Mirzoyan recalled meetings with the head of Turkey's MDI in Antalya and Prague, as well as heads of state.

"I consider the process positive. The benchmark is the establishment of diplomatic relations and the opening of borders.

However, our Turkish interlocutors should link this process less to the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations process.

On the contrary, they should realize that the success of the Armenian-Turkish dialogue can have a positive impact on the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiation process," the Minister stressed.
