YEREVAN. – The secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, on Friday met with Andrey Kovatchev, the European Parliament's Standing Rapporteur on Armenia. The head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, also attended the meeting, the Security Council office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The Security Council chief welcomed Kovatchev's current visit to Armenia, and expressed confidence that mutual cooperation will contribute to a positive result.
Grigoryan briefed the European Parliament rapporteur on the aggression unleashed by the Azerbaijani troops against Armenia on September 13 and its consequences, and presented some details of the negotiation process.
In addition, the Security Council secretary stressed Armenia's readiness to continue democratic reforms—also as a security component.
