On Friday, the governor of Gegharkunik province Karen Sargsyan received representatives of the OSCE fact-finding mission headed by Colonel Robert Tkachuk, he wrote on his Facebook.

He noted in particular:

"The purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted with the situation on the ground in the border areas and settlements of the region as a result of Azerbaijani aggression on September 13-14, 2022.

Welcoming the visit of the mission's representatives to Gegharkunik region, I called attention to the situation in 12 villages of Vardenis and Chambarak communities as a result of Azeri shelling, expressing the hope that the rapid response of the OSCE mission representatives would allow to correctly assess the situation.

I am ready to accompany the OSCE fact-finding mission to the settlements and border regions affected by the shootings and give them the necessary support in all issues.

We handed over to the representatives of the fact-finding mission videos and photos, which will make the aggressive actions of the Azerbaijani side more eloquent and convincing.

Colonel Vahram Grigoryan, commander of the Second Army Corps of the Armenian Armed Forces, also provided information on the situation resulting from the Azerbaijani aggression, and noted the importance of the OSCE mission's visit to the region. He spoke about enemy infiltration, territorial and human losses suffered by the Armenian side, intimidation of civilians and missing people.

The representatives of the OSCE fact-finding mission thanked for providing detailed information, noting that if necessary, the mission members will visit the border zone and conduct necessary on-site observations."
