Giorgia Meloni, chairman of the Italian Brotherhood party, was sworn in as Italy's new prime minister on Saturday.The broadcast is carried by the Rai News television channel.

Along with the new prime minister, 24 ministers were also sworn in, of whom six were women - representatives of the Italian Brotherhood, the League and Forward Italy parties.

On Friday, Meloni received a mandate to form the Italian government.

Brothers of Italy is an Italian right-wing political party founded in 2012. Until December 3, 2017, it was called Italy Brothers National Alliance.
