Russian Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu on Sunday held a telephone conversation with the Minister of National Defense of Turkey, Hulusi Akar, informed the Ministry of Defense (MOD) of Russia.

“They discussed situation in Ukraine, which is rapidly deteriorating. General of the Army Sergei Shoigu conveyed to the Turkish counterpart his concerns about possible provocations by Ukraine with the use of a ‘dirty bomb,’” the Russian MOD added.

Earlier, the Russian defense minister had held a telephonic conversation with his French counterpart Sebastien Lecornu, to whom as well Shoigu had conveyed the abovementioned concern.
