The Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service chief, Sergey Naryshkin, has expressed concern about Western rhetoric about the possibility of using nuclear weapons.

He noted that the international community must prevent Ukraine from obtaining nuclear weapons.

Naryshkin claims that the desire of "the Kyiv regime to possess nuclear weapons has been seen by humanity ... since that day, when President Zelenskiy spoke at a security conference in Munich."

"And its ambitions to possess nuclear weapons were already clear then. The world shouldn't allow that to happen," he added, RIA Novost reported.

According to him, the Russian authorities are not discussing the use of nuclear weapons.

"We are upset by the Western rhetoric about the possibility of the use of nuclear weapons. This is simply unacceptable," he said.
