Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia sent a congratulatory message to Giorgia Meloni on being appointed the Prime Minister of Italy.

"Italy is a friendly country and an important partner for us. Armenia attaches great importance to the consistent development and deepening of friendly ties with Italy based on common civilization, democratic values, mutual interests and mutual sympathy between our peoples.

Due to your fair and firm positions in this period of vital importance for the Armenian people, you enjoy great respect not only in the Italian Armenian community, but also in the Armenian society. I am confident that during your leadership we will manage to record new joint achievements, raising the cooperation between Armenia and Italy to a new qualitative level in all areas of mutual interest.

I sincerely hope that in the near future we will have the opportunity to meet and discuss the entire agenda of our bilateral relations and outline the prospects of further cooperation," reads, in particular, the congratulatory message of the Armenian PM.
