North Korea has completed preparations for a nuclear test, South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol said during a speech in parliament, Bloomberg reported.

According to the politician, Pyongyang's first atomic device explosion in five years is imminent.

Tthe North Korean authorities have already completed preparations for a seventh nuclear test, Yoon Seok-yeol said, adding that the government of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un advocates preemptive use of nuclear weapons.

The U.S., South Korea, and Japan promised to punish the North Korea for the nuclear test, stressing that it would violate UN Security Council resolutions.
