YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: The establishment of the Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] Public Council [(PC)] has caused concern in the political field.
The thing is that Armen Gevorgyan, who is close to the Soros circles, from [Artsakh ex-FM] Masis Mayilian's entourage, has been appointed PC head, and the PC members, according to Artsakh residents, have never spoken against the RA authorities' policy regarding Artsakh.
And due to this, there are doubts that when the state institutions in Artsakh are destroyed at the request of Azerbaijan, the president resigns, and the parliament is dissolved, the administration [in Artsakh] will pass to the Public Council, which is an independent body, and whose existence is not conditioned by the activities of state institutions.
And those NGO sector representatives who were fighting against the officials with nationalist views, and also were demanding the resignation of [Artsakh National Security Council secretary] Vitaly Balasanyan, have found a place in the PC.
