The issues arising in Russian-Armenian relations are not "irreversible," and meetings and conferences at various levels are aimed at resolving them, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs Konstantin Zatulin, who was previously reportedly banned from entering Armenia, told RIA Novosti.

Zatulin said that in the near future Armenia will host Lazarev Club's meeting on "The historical past and present of Russian-Armenian relations." The day before the politician learned that his person was declared undesirable in the republic.

Responding to a question about the development of bilateral relations he stated that he does not regard what is happening today in the Russian-Armenian relations as "irreversible". Thus, he noted, the meetings of representatives of the two countries as well as the heads of states are also aimed at the development of contacts.

"As we know President Putin and Aliyev are supposed to meet with Pashinyan. I hope that the Club is supposed to hold such a discussion, drawing attention to it, will cool down the ardor of those who today in Armenia - not only the government, but also the forces supporting it, I mean bloggers who live on Western grants in Armenia, on connections with the American Embassy, embassies of Western countries - all will think back and just weigh up what they are changing," Zatulin said.
