Rehabilitation works after Azerbaijani Armed Forces' invasion continue, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic Gnel Sanosyan said on Wednesday.
His remarks came during the government hour at the session of the National Assembly answering the questions of the MPs.
"Due to Azerbaijan's recent aggression, both populated areas and civilian infrastructure have suffered. They turned out to be under the enemy's aim," he noted.
According to him, water reservoirs, power lines, roads and gas pipelines were hit. "The Ministry tried to repair the damage caused by the invasion in a short time. The first priority was to repair power lines and gas pipelines," Sanosyan said.
He thanked the employees of the Armenian Power Grid for their prompt work.
"Nevertheless, there were certain difficulties during the restoration of the high-voltage transmission line leading to Iran. The Azerbaijani side started active shelling as soon as the work was carried out, and it had to be interrupted. The work could be continued only 10-12 hours later," the minister said. "In spite of all the difficulties, the reconstruction works continue and the authorities will successfully complete them."
