The West has taken a number of steps for aggravation, including inciting war in Ukraine, provocations around Taiwan, and destabilization of global food and energy markets, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, RIA Novosti reported.
"The West in recent years, and especially in recent months, has taken a number of steps to aggravate. Well, they always play on aggravation. There is nothing new here. They fueled the war in Ukraine, provocations around Taiwan, and destabilization of global food and energy markets," Putin said at a plenary session of the Valdai Discussion Club.
The head of state specified that the destabilization of markets is a consequence of systemic mistakes.
"The latter, of course, was not done on purpose - there is no doubt about that - but due to a number of systemic mistakes just by those Western authorities that I have already mentioned," Putin specified.
