The U.S. is allocating a new $275 million military assistance package to Ukraine, Deputy Defense Department spokeswoman Sabrina Singh told reporters at a briefing on Friday, Voice of America reported.
The department is announcing the 24th tranche of $275 million in security assistance to Ukraine to meet defense needs, she said.
The department said the new military aid package to Ukraine includes missiles for HIMARS, artillery shells, small arms, and satellite dishes.
The package includes additional ammunition for HIMARS systems, 500 guided artillery shells of 155 mm caliber, 2,000 shells of 155 mm caliber for remote anti-tank mines, over 1,300 anti-tank systems, 125 Humvee armored vehicles, small arms and over 2.75 million pieces of ammunition and four satellite antennas for communications, Singh said.
