President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan attended and delivered a speech at the World Armenian Summit in Yerevan, on Friday.
Greeting the participants of the summit, the head of state stressed the importance of holding such representative events for Armenians around the world, noting that in the current difficult geopolitical conditions it becomes doubly necessary and urgent.
"Today, the Armenian nation is facing serious problems and challenges, for the solution of which it is necessary to unite the entire national potential and efforts and consolidate around one idea. This idea is the strengthening and reinforcement of independent Armenian statehood, the key to which has always been the Armenia-Karabakh-Diaspora trinity. Even its slightest weakening can lead to disastrous consequences. That is why it is crucial to view the trinity as an inseparable unity of values and interests," Harutyunyan said.
Speaking of the need to protect national interests and all-Armenian consolidation, the head of state noted in particular that the Karabakh Armenians, counting on nationwide unconditional support to preserve and develop an important part of their homeland, resolutely continue their struggle, living directly in their homeland, Nagorno Karabakh.
"There is no alternative to a strong Armenia, Karabakh and the Diaspora. This must be our clear and important message to the world," Karabakh President Arayik Harutyunyan stressed in his speech.
