The matters on the agenda are the following: the adoption of the new program and charter of the party, the adoption of the new composition of the permanent governing body—the board—, and the adoption of the chairman of the party board. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, founder of the ruling Civil Contract Party (CCP) of Armenia, announced this at the party congress today.

"All these are important matters because they will have a decisive significance, not only on the future course of our party, but also of our country. This is our third congress that we are holding in the status of a ruling party; we have held three more congresses as an opposition party," he said.

In his address, Pashinyan spoke about the kind of “customs” that prevailed in Armenia before the velvet revolution in the country in 2018.

According to Pashinyan, they have taken part in virtually all opposition movements in Armenia, but they were not the only political team in Armenia that thought that way.

According to Pashinyan, CCP members have discussed and analyzed the tasks.

"We declared the matter of repairing the foundation of the state as our primary task, and came up with a specific plan before the public," he added.
