Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin is still ready to hold talks on Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister stated during the airing of the documentary "The World on the Verge. Lessons of the Cuban Crisis" on Channel One.

"The readiness of Russia, including its president, to negotiate on Ukraine, remains unchanged. We are always ready to listen to what proposals our Western partners have to reduce tensions," said Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov. "Therefore, if we are approached with realistic proposals, it will not be up to us, as it has always been in the past."
