Russian companies failed to increase oil production in October. It remains at the level of 1.47 million tons per day including condensate - below the OPEC+ quota and even slightly below the September figures, Kommersant reported, citing sources familiar with the situation.
The export of Russian oil by sea and pipelines fell by 2 percent to 640,000 tonnes per day. This is the second month in a row. From April to August Russia has been increasing production after the March failure.
The newspaper's sources hope that in November it will be possible to increase the output at the expense of production at the Sakhalin-1 project which was stopped in May due to the refusal of ExxonMobil shipments. The company left the project in October but after its re-launch, the production did not manage to increase even up to half of the planned values.
The OPEC+ oil production quota for Russia is 10.5 million barrels per day; in fact, 10.7 million barrels including condensate were produced in October. In September, when production was 10.7 million barrels per day, condensate accounted for about 8 percent, meaning less than 10 million BPD of oil was produced directly.
