The U.S. has violated free trade rules by imposing new export control rules on China and restricting investment, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Monday in a phone call with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The U.S. has imposed new export control rules on China and restricted investment in China, seriously violating free trade rules and severely damaging China's legitimate rights and interests, this must be corrected, said Wang Yi, quoted by the Chinese Foreign Ministry as saying.
