Estonian Interior Ministry intends to expand the protected zone on the border with Russia from 10 to 300 meters for the construction of additional facilities there, ERR TV channel reported.

The current regulation no longer allows good protection of this border, at ten meters can not be placed all the border infrastructure, to patrol, create normal observation positions, Janek Mägi, head of the ministry's border guard and migration policy department, said.
