At the moment the operational situation in the eastern and southeastern directions is relatively stable, Head of the General Staff of Armenian Armed Forces Edvard Asryan told journalists.

According to him, the ceasefire violations are mostly recorded in the eastern direction: Kutakan, Kakhakni, Sotk, and also in the direction of Jermuk. According to Asryan, the violations of ceasefire regime by the adversary are targeted as well as haphazard shooting in unfavorable weather conditions and because of fog.

As for the purposeful violations, in these cases the adversary tries to prevent the implementation of engineering works on the positions. "Since we initiated the implementation of large-scale works, we strengthen the occupied positions, areas, the line of contact, and thus we are trying to prevent further actions of the adversary," Asryan stated.
