The Federal Air Transport Agency has extended flight restrictions to 11 airports in southern and central Russia until November 9.

"The regime of flight restrictions to 11 airports in southern and central Russia has been extended until November 9, 2022," the Federal Air Transport Agency said in a statement.

Flights to airports in Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol, and Elista are temporarily restricted.

Russia has closed some of its airspaces in the south and central part of the country to civilian aircraft since February 24 amid a special military operation in Ukraine.
