YEREVAN. – Vice President Ruben Rubinyan of the National Assembly (NA) on Tuesday received a group of Members of the European Parliament who have arrived in Armenia, the NA informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

First, Rubinyan thanked his colleagues of the European Parliament for supporting Armenia.

The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament presented details on the recent large-scale military aggression of Azerbaijan against the sovereign territory of Armenia.

Touching upon the regional situation, the position of the Armenian side on the peaceful solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem was voiced.

The NA Vice President underlined that the Armenian historical-cultural and spiritual heritage appeared on the territories under the control of Azerbaijan. The imperative of the quick return of Armenian prisoners of war was also stressed.

During the meeting the sides highlighted the establishment of stability and democracy in the whole region.
