If both countries wish, it is quite possible to reach $3 billion in trade between Iran and Armenia. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi announced this at the press conference with visiting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan after their bilateral meeting, IRNA reports.

According to him, during the last few months, a 43-percent increase in Iran’s trade with Armenia was recorded, but the goal of the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries is $3 billion.

Raisi expressed hope that during the current visit of the Armenian premier it will be possible to implement the agreements that were reached between Tehran and Yerevan in commerce and economy.
