Russia and Iran have agreed to sign an agreement on a free trade zone with the EEU in the near future, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said, RIA Novosti reported.
"We also agreed to remove all the barriers that exist today on the way of trade development between our countries. And we are talking about reducing barriers on the borders of third countries. We agreed to conclude an agreement on a free trade zone between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union in the near future," he said at a news conference following a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.
