The UAE and the United States have signed a partnership agreement to encourage $100 billion in investment in clean energy projects, state news agency WAM reported.

The partnership will ыeek and stimulate private and public sector funding and support for clean energy innovations, carbon and methane management, advanced reactors, including small modular reactors, and industrial and transportation decarbonization.

Under the initiative, the UAE, OPEC oil producer, and the United States will provide technical assistance, project management assistance, and financing for commercially and environmentally sustainable energy projects in other countries.

The energy transition requires a realistic, practical and economically viable plan to ensure climate progress together with energy security and inclusive economic growth, Sultan Al Jaber, UAE minister of industry and advanced technology and special envoy for climate change, said in a statement.
