YEREVAN. – The secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, on Wednesday received the head of the European Union (EU) monitoring capacity mission to Armenia, Marek Szczygiel, who is the Head of the EU Monitoring Mission to Georgia, the Security Council office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Grigoryan welcomed the visit of the head of this EU mission to Armenia, and expressed satisfaction with the results of bilateral cooperation. The Security Council chief emphasized with confidence that this bilateral cooperation has the potential to contribute to the strengthening of the security environment in the region.

Szczygiel, for his part, expressed his gratitude for the assistance shown at both the state and local levels, in particular, he emphasized the high willingness to contribute to bilateral cooperation.

At the meeting, the interlocutors reflected on the activities of the EU civilian mission.
