The foreign ministers of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan had a conversation on the margins of the three countries' leaders in Sochi on Monday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
"As for the meeting of the foreign ministers of the three countries in Sochi, it was not a meeting or negotiations of delegations, it was a conversation or face-to-face contact between the three ministers. And, of course, this conversation took place in the context of the negotiations that took place between their leaders. That's all I can say," she said.
Commenting on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement that Yerevan is ready to establish relations with Baku on the basis of Russian proposals, and what proposals she was referring to, Zakharova quoted Russian President Vladimir Putin. "I would draw attention to Russian President Vladimir Putin's words regarding the fact that the discussion will continue, and we consider it incorrect to put some of the very sensitive issues into public discussion, because it may hinder the negotiation process," she said.
A meeting of the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan was held in Sochi on Monday and a joint statement was issued as a result of the meeting.
