It is planned to allocate around 1.686 billion drams to the Office of the President of Armenia in 2023. Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan announced this in the National Assembly (NA), at Wednesday’s joint session of NA standing committees, during the latter’s debates on the draft 2023 state budget of Armenia.
In 2022, the Ministry of Finance received significantly less funds—by 65 million drams—i.e., 1.621 billion drams.
"In 2021, the presidential administration received even less," added Khachatryan.
As for the NA, 6.9 billion drams will be allocated to it from the state budget in 2023.
"In 2022, 6.218 billion drams were allocated to the National Assembly, whereas in 2021—5.4 billion drams; that is, the expenses for the needs of the parliament only increase year by year," said the finance minister.
