Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid has canceled an earlier planned participation in a climate summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, amid the results of the vote count in the 25th Knesset elections showing a loss for the coalition he leads, the state broadcaster CAN reported.

After the election results became known, Prime Minister Lapid canceled his trip to next week's climate conference in Sharm el-Sheikh, the publication said.

The Israeli delegation to the conference will be headed by President Isaac Herzog.
